How Texas Hold'em works
The most popular poker variant in the world, boiled down. You and the bot each get two private cards; five shared cards come out in the middle. Make the best five-card hand and the pot is yours.
Each hand starts with small forced bets (the blinds) so there's always something to play for. You're both dealt two face-down "hole" cards.
Look at your two cards and decide: fold (give up), call (match the bet), or raise (put in more). Strong cards and position are your friends.
Three shared cards (the flop), then one more (the turn), then a final one (the river) are dealt face-up, with a round of betting after each.
If both players are still in after the river, cards are revealed. The best five-card combination from your two cards plus the five on the board wins the pot.
